Hello.

Alistair Rutherford is a writer for the screen, stage and BBC radio.

With fourteen years of professional experience Alistair has been commissioned by the BBC [Radio 4, Radio Scotland, BBC1 Scotland], Ko Lik Film, Encaptivate Film, Storymix (Sweden) and Stroke Association UK.

He writes original stories as well as working closely with producers and directors to develop their projects for film or theatre.

Alistair has successfully adapted novels for film and stage and writes across a range of genres, including fast-paced thrillers, science fiction epics, romantic comedies and historical dramas.

He was a member of the writing team for CBBC & Ko Lik Film's "OOglies", which won a Children's BAFTA in November 2015.

The writing is bright, perky, observant, with an occasional shimmer of pure conjuror’s magic.
